This is my first tattoo, of the Alliance Navy seal and a Quarian saying from the game Mass Effect. I got this tattoo for several reasons, the most obvious one to pay my homage to my favorite gaming experience ever and show my love for gaming in general.
I absolutely love my first FemShep. Keelah Se’Lai” is used by the Quarians and translates to “By the homeworld I hope to see again.” For those who’ve haven’t played ME, the Quarians lost their planet to their own creations and dream of being able to breathe their natural air. It’s used a message of blessing or peace in the game. To me, it’s a message that every being has their things/situations to battle for and the underlying hope they will win those fights.
I know she’s fictional and designed to be “perfect” but she still amazes me. She was such an empowering character; with every odd against her, she kept going and kicking ass. I have moments where I’m almost like, “What would my FemShep do?” I wonder if one day in the future society would allow a woman to carry that much weight her shoulders. I just love thes game so much.

MSPixel

Lady Shepard fans: MSPixel is a blog that is relevant to your interests!

MSPixel is my personal ill-advised project where non-existent art skills combine with general tomfoolery to create a loving parody of video games, this time, the entire Mass Effect series. Of course I’m going through with female Shepard, there’s no other way.

Even though I keep all the super major spoilers out of the story line, you can still come along and see horrible Asari-puking sentient plants, discover what Wrex keeps on his iPod, hear about krogan testicles more times than anyone would ever care to, and watch the council eloquently get their point across using their Mr. Digit Puppet Fingers, all painstakingly rendered in art so beautifuahahahahahahah okay I can’t keep a straight face while I say that last bit.

Anyway, I’d really love it if you let me entertain you for a while. MSPixel updates on Wednesday and Friday at mspixel.blogspot.com. You can also follow along on Twitter at @MSPixelBlog or on your own dash right here on Tumblr.

Thanks, can’t wait to see you there!
