A painting exercise, of sorts. I want to get better at doing full scenic pictures, ‘cause I suck at them and never really do them. And they take me AGES, like, seriously, months, and then that just makes me not want to do them. I decided to try out this “block in big shapes and bring the picture into focus” technique a lot of artists and even pro concept artists use. So I picked some simplistic screenshots to reference (I say simplistic, ugh, nothing about ME is simplistic!) It goes directly opposite of my usual technique, so it felt really weird, and kind of imprecise. But on the other hand it did go a lot faster. Hmmm. Gonna do this some more. :)
All in all very pleased with this! I cannot draw spaceships for the life of me, but it could be worse I suppose. It’s meant to look more sketchy and loose so I guess I can live with the fact it’s not all streamlined and sleek. xD Anyway, hope you guys like! More coffee and my next art for me.
